Why you don’t see fresh peonies yet?

At the moment you may be finding bulbs and artificial peony flowers, but no fresh peonies yet, and that’s because fresh cut peonies are seasonal blooms. They are only available for a short time each year, and that season hasn’t started yet.

Fresh peonies typically bloom in late spring to early summer in most European climates:

• In the Netherlands and surrounding regions, mid-May to late June is usually the peak season for fresh peony blooms.

• Depending on the weather and variety, some growers may start late April or continue into early July.
